Those mornings when you wake up and you realize you are doing all the thinking that pertains to your existence, when how to get what to eat, cloths to wear, money to spend are all based on your own effort.

On some days we feel the weight of this transition fall so hard on us that the only thing we just want to do is cry, I have gone through this most times but whenever I just want to give in to crying, I always wonder how it would help.

This what most adolescents go through, it is life outside the comfort zone, the way handle this stage matters and would determine how well you can strive with other challenges life will throw up later.

So if you in this stage, it is important to build up a strong positive mindset, never give in to crying like a baby because truth be told it never helps the situation.

About Happiness

Truth be told, what brings happiness varies from person to person; For some it might be the abundance of money, well-being of family, academic excellence, career, or even a combination of different things.

Most of us tend to lead a sad life when what brings us happiness aren't in place, most time we might just want to cry, other times thoughts of giving up totally pops up in every part of our very sensitive and actively working minds, trust me I know how this feels.

Sadness as a state of un happiness would be experienced at one point in one's journey through life, it's something that is seemingly impossible to avoid.

But never allow yourself get swallowed up in that state of un-happiness.

Make Up Your Mind To Make Money

Making money is never something that happens by luck or chance, not even when you win a lottery, it is something that happens with consistent planning and a consious effort.

Don't wake up every morning praying to God to give you money without putting any effort of your own, God is not in the business of helping wishful thinker and lazy people, he is not ready to give you a miracle you do nothing to merit.

Do not relegate yourself to think you will make money just like that instead make a plan, work towards that plans with consistent efforts, meet people with great ideas that can build wealth, invest, take risks, take a loan or something, just make sure you are taking those consious effort that would make you money and it starts today.

Do It When You Are Young

Young people like you and I have a lot of advantages over the those who are older; At our youthful age we are more energetic, we are mostly dependent and not saddled with the responsibilities of directly fending for someone else and most importantly we have money coming in from sources we mostly do not work for.

So it becomes necessary that at this youthful stage not to allow the fear of potential lost prevent us from investing in a particular business opportunity.

Most time alot of our fears do not come into fruition, I remember at the beginning of this year when Ponzi schemes(MMM, GHW, etc) were taking a negative trend, alot of youth( myself inclusive) were thinking we will die if we lost the money we invested into this schemes but hello, we are all still alive even with the loss experienced.

What I am driving at?

Our youth is a period of our lives when we can afford to take risks and the consequences doesn't put your back to the ground forever.

Go out there, invest in that business, take a loan, implement your startup ideas.

Don't Give Up

I remember the first and only time I ever rode a bicycle was when my big cousin Handiy Brawn was trying to teach me, I gave up learning to ride when I fell at my first trial and injured myself.
Today I don't know how to ride a bicycle and I haven't tried either!

This above true life illustration is what happens when you give up on learning, be it a skill, trade or academic.

It's true life gets really challenging and difficult most times, it is an experience which is very necessary, a phase each and everyone passes through at one point in their existence,a lot is learnt if we don't give up!

Overcoming Setbacks

When setbacks happen, you can either let it set your back on the ground or you look up and get up, or feel undone and give up crying over spilled milk, never let setbacks take you back but use it as a springboard to thrust forward.

Giving up isn't an option, it is a choice, life has never given up on anyone, people give up on life, quit looking at where it didn't work, see it a failure cost you just paid, everything great has a cost, pay it and expect full return when you don't give up.

Your Mindset Is Important
In overcoming setbacks, you should understand that your mindset is importantly playing a vital role, your mind act like a magnet, it will always attract its most dominant thoughts and make it a reality, the mind sometimes is liken to a quarry, to get the best out of it in dealing with your setbacks, you first have to blow it up.

Cut-Out Fear
In dealing with setbacks in whatever aspect of life requires we are confident, the first thing to do is to cut-out fear and worry, fear thought is the cause of much unhappiness and many failures, fear tends to paralyzed efforts therefore the best way to overcome the habit of fear when we encounter setbacks is to assume the mental attitude of courage just as the beat way to get rid of darkness is to let in light.

Setbacks whenever or however encountered does not indicate the end of the road, put up a positive attitude and keep moving, remember if you truly believe in your dreams not even reality can stand in your way.

Utilizing Opportunities

Opportunities are everywhere, although the best are kind of rare to find, if you are not accustomed to trying out new things, taking on challenges, daring to fail, and trying again if you fail, you might just miss out on life's best opportunities.

The Way Of The World

The way of this earth
From the day Perdition fell in
Has been a constant tugging
Men wrestle bread off the mouths of infants
Such is the way of the world

Our innermost nature is vile
We learnt first to crawl
For beasts we are
Then we learned above that;
To walk as sons of God
And be gods not men

But some crawl inside still
And are beasts inside yet
No matter how erect they walk
Violence is their very stock
Avoid these men
For the earth is theirs with its ways
And paradise now is a mere wish

The Ride Through The Shadows

If your life is usually as uneventful as mine, you will have only nostalgic memories of your freshman year, memories so banal you dare not share with an excited gathering of folks – but oh, you learn this particular lesson only by repeated awkward experiences, when your long-awaited punch line is so drab no one but you know you are done. It means little to everyone but you. That’s the kind of memory I share here with you and with no guarantee it will make you wring a smile off your face.

Sitting on a clumsy faded leather-coated seat beside the window in our ‘engineering bus', my nostrils filled with smoke from its ignition, final-year students of my department discussing in the row in front of me about all that happens at that level. Very naturally, I listened wide-eyed, their gist was a scary lot for me to handle; the manner of lecturers they have had to face, the courses, the nights, and ‘project’. They also discussed their poor performance in CHE 513. I wrote down that course code in red somewhere in my head.

The bus kept on moving, time kept flying and what a ride I had to my final year. The whole time does now seem short, but only in retrospect, for in that time I fell in love, I partied, I laughed, I cried, I screamed in my head, I screamed aloud, I was disappointed, I was committed, I sinned, I repented, I was fervent, I sinned yet again, good food, bad food, lectures, holidays and very importantly there were those friends and those events.

From that shaky leather seat to a wooden chair in GD4 classroom, CHE 513, Separation Processes 3 exams staring at me, all its charm lost on me until I saw the first and compulsory question. At the realisation of my cluelessness I felt defeated. Anyone unfamiliar with this feeling would have to extrapolate sadder down from terrible to begin to imagine what it felt like. Fact was: I got a four-year heads up. In my predicament, I resolved to hate. I hated myself, I hated exams, I hated the course and the lecturer. The hate spread through me like black ink into a beaker of clear water. I almost gave up. It took nothing less than the fear of a spill-over to motivate me.

By convention, the lessons to be learnt are diligence, discipline, planning, and for me a strong resolution to preclude further occurrence by rigorous self-discipline. In my life, I have come to know that these wonderful characteristics are traits and not mind destination. Traits which I conclude I do not possess. You are reading probably the most I could make with my four-year heads up.

Somewhere further in time, I will tell this story, perhaps even to an excited gathering, or perchance it will be read by another like me on a clumsy leather seat. It is not the worst thing to make little of a forewarning after giving your personal best and please always forgive yourself and move on. It is true our life is a product of our decisions, but decisions we make from very limited options. There is not always a reward of surprise but I met with one in the final result.

Africa is a land of stern eyebrows and overbearing elders, a continent of singing mosquitoes, and naked children, running to embrace beneath their mothers' knees. In Africa, the labourer's sweat drop down his body like oil on the head of David. At the townhall, men distrust their brothers, the market is noisy from women gossiping about lazy husbands, and at the gates of our schools, teenagers wait on bare knees to be flogged by their teachers. Deep into Africa, the drumbeat is fast, the women are cooking and Kwame is proud of his first kill. I know all these because I was born in Africa and live everyday under the infringing sun of the dark continent.

The dead will come alive by the blood sprinkled over the earth above it, from the neck of a black hen, the ground receives those who swear to have it. Amidst the abundant vegetation is a scared shrine; amidst schools and retail shops is a holy church; and above them all, the cry of the Iman is heard, calling for prayers, from a tall mosque. In Africa, we search for the ultimate power, we pray to different gods, we pray to wealthy men.

The thunderheads began to gather in the blue sky above the far mountains, and the leaves on the trees hanging over the waters of the river turned backward in a sudden gust of wind. Thunder growled and lightning ran through the white clouds above the snowy peaks.
The seeker sat under a large oak tree watching the river – the river ever flowing past to the sea, while its brown waters lap at the sandy shores with a murmuring sound.
“It is like the great River of God,” said the seeker. “Will I ever see the great River which John spoke of in Revelation?” “Definitely,” said the Tibetan. “Take me? Where shall we go? Ask the seeker in awe.
“Beyond the worlds of God’s cosmic space. Into the far reaches of those spiritual regions where the foot of man has never trod, and where only soul can journey. We will go where time, space, imagination, and ideas have no existence. Where only the true realities abides. That is where you shall see the River of God.
“How will we go?” asked the seeker eagerly.
“Just close thine eyes, and look into the Spiritual Eye (that point between the two eye brows). Wait for me to come. Then I shall take the into the glorious sight of the divine River of God.
The seeker closed his eyes and looked minutely into the Spiritual Eye. Gradually out of the darkness came the flowing rain of misty, yellow light, which enveloped in a swirling cloud. With it came a strange humming sound like a thousand bee swarming through his head.
The light suddenly swirled fiercely and stopped, and he seemed to have a strange feeling of something happening to his body a sucking sound, a motion, occurred at the top of his head, and there was a pop like a cord from a bottle, and he seemed to be lifted upward in a grand swoop. Surprised, he stopped, and stood looking at the body sitting on the ground. He said in amazement, “That’s me!”
Then he looked at himself and saw the body he wore was something like a white sheath. The Tibetan was standing only a few feet away in similar attire.
“Take my hand. Have faith. I will show thee the River of God!”
The seeker closed his eyes and held tight to the teacher’s hand, and they seemed to fly through space. Within a matter of moments he heard his companion’s voice say to open his eyes.
He was astounded. They seemed to be standing on the top of a vast wide tableland, overlooking a long valley in a dazzling white world. In the distance was a white, round circle that gleamed with wondrous brightness, and its distance from them could have been a hundred miles, or a thousand, he could not tell. Out of it poured a white, molten stream of light so bright that he could hardly look at it and this light spread into the world becoming like rain falling upon the cosmic land of God.
“There is God,” said the Tibetan, pointing to the white disk in the great sky. “Out of God comes the River of Light; flowing endlessly. You cannot go any closer or you would die, for God will not let anything of imperfection approach Him.
“As the river is made of drops of water, so is the River of God is made of the pure atoms whish circulate throughout the worlds of God, down to the top three worlds. Then it returns to God, still pure in its form.
“Now you have seen and must go back!”
The seeker closed his eyes again. Upon reopening them, he found the Master and himself sitting by the river, in a gentle rain. The Master moved under the tree, and moved his hands with a familiar gesture.
“You see,” he said in a most gentle voice, “I can give you the experience that you desire!”

Often we are so engrossed in our work that we forget to value, appreciate and recognize those that we are actually working for, we get so wrapped up in our own lives, that we forget the people that make up our lives. I know people who regret the last words they said and others who never got to share how they genuinely feel.
Whatever is taken for granted will eventually be taken away, that's when we end up missing the most the person that we least appreciated because we never think that the last time will be the last time, we think we have more, but we don't.

Focus on those that you really love.

Never ignore a person who loves you, cares for you, and misses you, because one day, you might wake up from your sleep and realize that you lost the moon while counting the stars.

It is very important for young people to understand the importance of their monetary investment to their long-term growth, investing money and suppressing present wants isn't in any way being foolishness but rather it is one of the best and wise steps to take as a young person, let me give an example, when I was in college I was on various scholarship grants which meant that every year for the speculated period I was expected to be in the university I would always look forward to getting some hefty sum of money, last year was my final year at the university, which meant it would be the last time I did recieve such scholarship funds, I didnt want to just use the money without earning any real value for it in the long term, I got to know a lot about the prospect of cryptocurrency investment by October last year, so I decided that as soon I get this funds i would invest it into some crytopcurrencies, on the other hand a friend of mine told me of how he was going to use the money to buy a mobile gadget for his brother as well as for his self without any plans for the long term, and would not change his mind on his decision no matter how hard I tried to convince him, the Scholarship funds came in December and we both went on with our plans, although with different results, today I am more financially stable than I was before making that investment and able to do the things I want to do with ease while my friend on the other still struggles financially.
